ABOUT

At The Pretend People, we believe imagination is a superpower.

Our workshops are a place where kids and teens can explore stories, movement, music and performance in a playful, supportive space that celebrates every voice.

Founded by actor, writer and storyteller Veronica Clavijo, The Pretend People was born from a lifelong love of creativity. As a child, Veronica would spend hours inventing worlds, putting on shows, and turning her lounge room into a stage. Now, after more than a decade working professionally in the performing arts, she’s creating the kind of space she once wished for: a place where young people can feel brave, inspired, and free to express themselves.

With workshops in musical theatre, acting, writing and filmmaking, we help kids and teens discover their own unique spark. Every workshop is guided by experienced, passionate facilitators who know how to balance skill-building with joy, confidence and play.

Because when children are given permission to explore their creativity, they don’t just grow as performers—they grow as people!
